The wedding portal for modern brides cooperates with TOP professionals, implementing the project "Wedding gift or colorful dreams awake". The project team consists of creative personalities and wonderful people, they love what they do from the bottom of their hearts!

Until we announce the wedding on the penultimate day of spring, we will gradually introduce our "fairy team". We will start the series of personal stories with the author of the project idea, photographer Kristini Grīnvaldi.

Photography is my life, my work, the oxygen I breathe and the emotions I experience.

A more serious acquaintance with this field began more than seven years ago, when I decided on a cardinal career turn and applied for photography studies, leaving behind an interesting job in the field of finance and economics. It was not an easy decision, but a thoughtful one, because I realized that I finally have to follow the voice of my heart about working in the creative sphere. At that time I clearly knew that photography would become my profession.

Now I can no longer imagine myself without a camera in my hands, because the process of photography, the frozen moments and the memories they hold bring great satisfaction and fulfillment. This is a profession I wouldn't change for anything else! Initially, wedding photography was the main direction in which I worked, but life and my beloved clients bring new challenges. I am honored to work with interesting brands such as L'elegante Pop-Up Picnic and SHISHI Home of Beauty for style shoots and events. I also photograph important events in the lives of my wedding clients.

For me, photography involves so much more than stopping for a moment, pressing a button or long hours at the computer. The greatest joy comes from the people this work brings into my life. I am very emotionally attached to both my wedding couples and clients who are not related to the wedding field, many of whom we become good friends with.

When photographing couples, tenderness is what I try to feel in the relationship of each couple, whether they have been together only recently and butterflies are flying in their stomachs or, having lived together for a long time, they know everything about each other, but the tender feelings only get stronger.

Softness inspires me, as do colors and emotions. Emotions are the colors of life. And the world is so full of colors!

Every photo work is like an adventure! I am always looking forward to new adventures both in Latvia and outside Latvia with undisguised interest, because I like to travel, meet new people and see new places. So far, my work as a photographer has taken me to Sweden, Italy, France, Austria, Germany, Greece, the most exotic and faraway destination has been the Seychelles. Traveling is like a breath of fresh oxygen for me, so I try to take every opportunity and travel not only for work, but I will always have my camera with me!

I will always remember what teacher Gunārs Binde said that "color is important in photography, as long as it is not distracting". I like black and white photography, because the colors in it do not distract from the emotion, form, but in my life and work, colors play a much bigger role, I get energy and inspiration from them. Travel memories are associated with colors - be it the bright architecture of the Burano island, the elegant gray charm of Paris, blooming apple trees in Puri or a golden sunset on the rocky beach of Tuja.

Therefore, I mostly associate my photography style with bright and juicy colors, intertwined with soft emotions, purity and elegance of style.

Even though I do work that gives great satisfaction every day, sometimes I want to realize interesting creative ideas by implementing projects together with like-minded people. The idea of ​​a "dream wedding" has been living in my head since 2014, when together with Jānis Buševics from SHISHI Home of Beauty we implemented the creative project "Pop-up wedding in the city". What was originally planned as a stylized wedding-themed photo shoot turned into an interesting adventure with a wide creative team. The couple in our project was real, but they didn't get married that day. After the project, I couldn't stop thinking that such or an even more beautiful adventure could be created at a real wedding!

I got the inspiration for the realization of a new project from the thought that every bride must have dreamed of a beautiful wedding, but, as it often happens, dreams tend to be bigger than possibilities.

Therefore, the project "Wedding gift - or colorful dreams awake" is a desire to fulfill the dream of a bright, memorable wedding for a couple by gathering a great team in this project, which will help the couple create a truly unforgettable day.
